general glitches on desk top after downloading x17

I am having trouble with my computer not responding and needing to be shut down since I downloaded x17 and the update to x17.  Anyone else having this problem or is the download just a coincidence and not causing the unresponsiveness?  I am having to click several times to get it to respond in all programs and sometimes I have to let it sit for  a couple of minutes.

If you're on a PC, I too had problems with my initial X17 installation.  What fixed it for me was a "repair installation."   Go to Windows Settings, Apps, Installed Apps, Modify.

I just try that it made no difference.

 

I have added pdfs jpgs to the file on project manager. Would this cause slow startup?
