Problem with elevation.

I've been having this "issue" in X17 for some time now and I'm wondering if anyone else has come across this same issue. I'll have an elevation open on my large monitor along with my plan view. If I go away from my work to have a coffee or to talk on the phone for 15 or 20 minutes, come back to my desk and draw a "standard polygon" on the elevation. I'm unable to click on it or any other object on the elevation. If I take the elevation and move it to my second monitor everything works as it should and I'm able to click on and open any object. If I move the elevation back to my larger monitor I, once again, am unable to open any object on the elevation. If I save and close out the plan and then reopen it, open the "problem elevation" I'm able to once again click on any object and they "open up" as they should. I'm hoping others have noticed this happening, because if it's not CA X17, I'm not sure where to turn. Oh, and the problem has occurred in other plans using X17. As always any suggestions is always greatly appreciated. I'm hoping I made this "issue" clear enough.
