sdarch
This is how slab houses are built in the Mid-atlantic region. This was done by creating 3-d solids, one on top of another. It was a a pain to create, and leaves a lot of unnecessary linework on plan view. Why can't Chief create this condition as easily as it creates a crawl space. Or can it? I never figured out how to do the insulation between the slab and the header block in the program. But you can always do a molding around the perimeter and set to be flush w slab. Thats the only way I know how to do this.. You have 8" CMU, so after you create the foundation, go to the wall dbx and make the lower 8" a pony, add a 4" wall type at the top at -4" (slab thickness). The floor structure dbx just add the rigid insul under the slab. I usually just show the insul in a detail with a poly solid. sdarch
THANKS, I'LL TRY THAT. LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE TO ERASE THE LINE 4" DOWN BUT THATS NOT BAD. I TAKE IT THE BLUE IS THE SAND FILL. BUT I DO LIKE THE CLEAN FOUNDATION PLAN.
