Schedules don't always update completely

I use custom_fields in some of my schedules.  Some times those columns are automatically updated.  In other cases they aren't which results in potential errors when sent to layout for the condocs.  It appears this only happens when there are more than one custom_field column in the schedule.

 

If I open the schedule in the plan it will usually update those extra custom_field columns.  I have to go thru the entire layout and check all schedules before printing the Layout.

 

Does anyone have a method of making the schedules automatically update all columns - without having to open and close them?
