3dinterior
I have a chief architect file and need 4 floorplans in dwg CAD file format from these (one per floor/level). Can anyone assist with this? Thanks in advance!
JiAngelo
You can export just the current view to dwg if you want. Turn on/off the layers you want to see on each floor you export.
SusanC
There is a Knowledge Base on Chiefarchitect.com, located under the tab labeled Support. Just type a question into the search bar and all of the info in articles, videos, chieftalk discussions will come up for you. Here is one of the articles. There are also a number of discussions on ChiefTalk about this subject. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00013/converting-plan-files-to-dwg-or-dxf.html
Opondo
Export as DWG Click File > Export > Export Current View (DWG, DXF). Choose AutoCAD DWG format. Set the correct scale and ensure "Export all floors" is unchecked (so only the current floor is saved). Save the file with an appropriate name (e.g., Floor1.dwg, Floor2.dwg, etc.). Repeat for Each Floor Level Navigate to each floor and repeat the export process to create four separate DWG files (one per floor) or you can reach out at jeremydylan127@gmail.com
