how to get rid of extra part of wall?

I have a wall that I can't get to be a certain length. As you can see in the picture, when I select the wall, there is an extra part of the wall at the end that I can't select or remove. Any thoughts?

 

Also, how do I get the drywall to wrap around the end of the wall? I have some other walls in my model that do show the drywall wrapping the end, but can't figure out why it's not doing it on this wall.

Use a room divider at the point you want the wall to stop.
