Porch Overhang

How do i get this porch to look right? I cant figure out how to get the pitch right and have metal soffit underneath and match up with the roof intersection.

what would be a "right pitch?

do you not want the soffit of the porch to match the adjacent roof's soffit (which I assume is flat?

 

maybe some more description of what look you are trying to do
