Two Story House, Living Room Open To Second Floor

I tried to search for an answer, but could not find anything. I am designed a two story house with a living room that has no ceiling (i.e., it opens to the gabled roof of the second floor, with an area on the second floor where you can walk around the living room.

 

I have unchecked the first floor's living room box where it says "Ceiling above this room" but I still see a ceiling.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions?

You have to specify the area in the room where it is open below.

You'll need to open the DBX of the room above the living room. Under the general tab, select the drop down menu for room type, and select "open below"

On the second floor, in the area you want to be "Open To Below" double click in the area you want open to below and change the Room Type to "Open To Below"
