FloraSvid
Hi there, Does anyone have an idea of how to import a CAD Titleblock into ChiefArchitect? I've tried several times with no success. So currently I'm having to import my drawing pdf into AutoCad and it's such a hustle. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Gawdzira
If it is CADD lines from AutoCad, you can import through the file menu. File-> Import-> DWG/DXF. Then position and scale your cadd lines on page 0 of the layout.
Felicia
Hello, I am also looking to do this. I've tried the import and that works as far as AutoCad model space content. I would like to copy over the cad lines and text from paper space layout sheets. The only way I can see how to do this is copy and pasting the text and viewport boxes. Any recommendations on how to do this easier? Thank you.
Gawdzira
You could leave it in model space (plan file) and then send it to paper space (layout) to page 0. This is not the recommended method but it would work. Otherwise, you can copy the text in the DBX (dialogue box) and then paste that into a new text element inside of layout. If you are doing the cad work in model space, you can show a drawing sheet in the plan file to match the sheet size in layout to orient and set up your size proportions.
