Error building door

Could someone help me out with this error? I'm trying to build a door partly into the foundation wall and partly into the main floor exterior wall, and I'm getting this mess no matter how I do it. What I've done here is to simply place the door into the main floor wall, then adjust the wall to bottom of door height to a negative number to place it level with the terrain. I hope someone can make sense of this.
