NAD4091
Hello, I am designing a split level home where we are adding an addition off the back of the house. Part of the addition with be covered and part will be an uncovered deck. I really only need the roof for aesthetic purposes so I can show the clients and engineer what the new roof should look life, however, when I actually build the roof in Chief Architect, it messes up all my interior ceilings. Is there a way to put the roof on just for looks but now have it be technical? I hope this question makes sense.

I don't know that it does. 2 hours ago, NAD4091 said: it messes up all my interior ceilings. How so? Can you post screenshots? And how exactly are you building this roof plane? Auto roofs? Manually drawn? Slapping on a simple roof plane should be relatively simple and low-impact, so I'm not sure you'll get a good answer without knowing more specifics.
