This firm has worked with us in the past and has opened plans previously; I have also sent plans to other customers/contractors and had no issues. I am new to the program and I am running x10. Assuming they can't open DWG, my best guess is that they have an older version of CAD that can't open the version you are saving...perhaps save it as an earlier version when exporting it...such as 2010-2012? You can ask what they are opening the DWG with and what version/year it is? You can try opening it in AutoCADs free viewer/converter 'DWG trueview' to see if it opens, etc. Just a guess based on the information provided.
