DougDM
I need to re frame my 1st fl floor framing, But I don't want my deck framing to re frame....how do I keep it from re- framing, aside from locking layers, which doesn't work. Solution basketballman Posted September 1, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 1, 2022 You need to select deck floor area and check retain framing then it will not calculate w/auto framing on ..

Hey Eric, It's an As-built...the existing deck ledgers are bolted through Brick veneer to rim joist of house. If I do an auto frame or re- frame basement ceiling (1st fl. floor framing), CA re-frames the deck through the brick and puts the ledgers against existing framing, as if brick didn't exist. I manually framed it and don't want it changed or re-framed the way CA wants to... which is wrong. Thanks for looking, Doug
