Floor Joist Does Not Butt to Rim Joist

I am looking for assistance to solve a build framing  problem on my first floor.

A section of floor joists in the same room will not butt against a rim joist.

I have tried setting different attributes in the dialogue boxes but cannot extend the floor joists to the rim joist under a particular wall.  The other walls  in the same room setup the framing correctly when the build framing macro runs.

Can someone take a look at my wall facing the north, in the north facing porch, and then give me suggestions as to what is wrong with my wall settings?

I have thinned out the rail wall so that the sill plate below goes to the outside edge of the foundation.  Otherwise, the sill pate centres on the foundation wall is not correct.

Would appreciate receiving some guidance here.image.thumb.png.89448534d10b5ce8dd12f12d220937a1.png

I changed that one wall setting to no definition but then I cannot regenerate the framing.  The room selection gets turned off.

I changed the wall back to have a room definition and then changed the wall type to partition.  I ran the build framing macro without any success at eliminating the gap.

  • 2 weeks later...

The basement walls created the issue.   One wall had the "Bearing Wall" Structure attribute set and the other did not.  Problem corrected by unchecking the "Bearing Wall" structure attribute and then I used the "Joist Direction" tool.

Both steps to the inner wall were necessary and would take care of the issue.
