Can cabinets be grouped by color for schedules without making new rooms around them?

Hi all, 

   Has anyone figured out if there is a way to group cabinets by color in respect to the schedule, without having to create rooms around particular clusters of cabinets using invisible walls? This process adds steps when it comes to fleshing out my interior elevations.

In X 12 and X13 use a custom schedule for the cabinets that are a different color.
