johnoc
I would like to take a photo of a tiled floor, to use in CA. Can I import the image directly? Is this possible? How would I achieve this? Thanks for looking

Dermot
Here is a tech article that might help: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00767/creating-a-new-material.html It's not quite as trivial as just taking a picture of some tile and then make a material out of it. If you don't crop the image properly, it won't display very well. I would recommend that you try to crop it along the center of the grout. You should also try to make sure your lighting is pretty even or it won't look as good either. The other thing that can be helpful is to make sure your pattern matches your image so that any view that include lines will look reasonable.
