I've had a few questions about some of my screen porch videos because I skipped over some of the basics. Here's a video that shows how to create a screen porch room...define the wall type and the railing wall type. I use "panels"...so, you will have to create a railing panel. I have also created a video on how to make a panel...it's on my YouTube Page. Let me know if I've missed something...or, if a guru has a tip or better method feel free to comment.
Very new user here, so please bear with me.
Using X9 on a 64 bit Windows desktop, just recently installed.
My 'normal' drawing formats show existing walls with just two solid lines (Unfilled), demo'd walls with two dashed lines (Unfilled) and all new walls have "poche" or hatch pattern(s) within the two solid lines (filled) depending on their type. [Typically 2D plans]
Is there any way to set up wall types or whatever to print this way? Usually plot in B/W or greyscale only, so existing wall hatch 'colors' don't help.
I don't mind if the existing walls look identical to new walls in the camera and ortho views, but for printing an existing and/or demolition plan I'd like it to show this way.
I'm responding to my first set of plan check comments using Chief. How do I mark revisions?
The "Revision Cloud" is easy to use, but is there an automatic way to mark the cloud with a "delta" and a number inside the delta, or do I need to create the delta and number, save it as a Library detail, then place it manually on each cloud?
I am very new to the Chief Architect software, i have watched many of the online videos and have learnt a great deal from them. i have one small issue that i cannot seem to find anywhere.
If i have designed a plan with a wall type (in my case, double brick wide with a total width of 220mm) how can i add a plaster layer after the design phase. I know this should have been done when setting up the wall, but i didn't at the time.
is it possble to do this after the desing, if so, how ?
