MaddtraxxRC
Hi there. I am sure this is super simple, but for some reason I'm going nuts. I am adjusting our house plan so that we can get offset trusses that will extend the roof, at a uniform pitch out over the front porch. We don't want a mulipitch roof here, and it's easier and cheaper to just get an offset truss with the same pitch. The roof is set right now to 5/12, but we could go to 6/12 if necessary. I would just like the area above the porch to be a uniform pitch all the way to the ridge. For some reason I just can't figure it out! THANKS!!! MaddtraxxRC
It's Chief x10. I had done a manual roof, which created the plane properly, but I could not get it to do the framing and the small wall section that would be created. Like a "join this roof to existing roof" kind of thing.
glennw
If you are doing auto roofs (which I would recommend), try making the open end porch railing wall a High Shed/Gable Wall. It looks like you may have it set as a Full Gable. Or...to make things easier, you could post the plan.
