Delete Old Versions Of Chief

I have continually upgraded from Chief 10 to 12 to 14.

can i delete to "old" programs and still be able to open the files in my newest version?

why?............taking up a lot of space on my hard drive, especially "program data".

Yes, you can delete them and open the old files in the newest version

 

bringing "legacy" plans forward may have a few "issues"

but some tweaks here/there usually fix them up

 

you may find some materials/textures missing and can import them

into X4 or just assign new materials

 

if you know which plans you want to migrate forward then do that

before deleting the older versions

 

note: once a plan is saved in the newer format the older versions can't open them

so make copies first as backups
