linking a plan to a layout

I have an old plan that my brother really likes and wants to make some minor changes to and build for his retirement. Problem is I really don't want to go through all the trouble of doing another layout when there are so few changes. ? I've already save them as a new file name but they aren't linking. I've searched the data base and video library but found nothing. Anyone got a quick answer for me?

Open the Layout (Save as the New Name), go to Tools, Layout, Referenced Plan Files.  Browse for the correct plan file.

Make sure both these files are in the same folder under the new name.

LOL - Not too bad for being rusty.

And it's Semi retirement now. Diane has me working on renovations for this house...I draw when I can: Working with two veteran's organization, and have a government contract doing 2D illustrations for the new building envelope guide for residential housing. I need something to occupy the time between sailing and building.
