Display stair landing windows on both floor plans

Need some help on this: Is there a best approach for showing windows on a stair landing on both floor plans (without seeing two sets of windows in elevation)?

I put in two widows,  one at first floor and one at second floor,  one of the windows will not be checked to be included in window legend.

 

I do not think the ref set method  works well.

Thanks guys.  I'll give both methods a try.  

 

I was, however hoping for something more elegant as a built-in feature I was missing!
