  1. Guys, The Roofs are refusing to meet the attic wall in the Y direction.. See Attic floor.. Adjusting the wall in 3d in the Z direction does not fill the gap. The problem is Roofs think the attic wall has brick on it like the lower wall so don't fill the gap. David.. Thanks so much for you efforts and I have drawn friezes in Elevations before BUT I prefer to resolve the real problem first. There is a good chance the roof pitches mar be changed soon as well. As a last resort, yes.. but not there yet.
  2. If you do that this happens..
  3. Back to this house... The Roof planes are refusing to meet the upper attic wall as it was put in by Chief as a brick veneer wall I later changed to Siding.. Cornices very messy.. not thrilled with the Elevation view.. X6 File.. Thanks in advance... Helvey.plan
  4. Like so?... I did try the intersection too and not very clean but will have to do..
  5. Robert... Sorry.. your suggestion to set the main layer as the framing layer was the solution. Remaining problem is the 2D representation is still wrong. I didn't try the "edit wall intersection tool".
  6. David.. I am pretty sure those settings result in Post #5...?
  7. Any ideas...? I already have 3 Roofs here... So I have to use a 4th?? This is VERY common in the Southeast.. surprised not many comments in the archives.. except... http://www.chieftalk.com/showthread.php?50131-Level-Eave-Soffits Post #6 by Scott...
  8. Thanks guys.. MUCH appreciated.. solved.
  9. Sherry... So many settings!.. Basically coding a house... I am trying to get rid of the box eave on the gable WITHOUT losing the soffit underneath... Any ideas??
  10. Robert... May have to do with the wall type??... I really don't want to do solids.. Helvey.plan
  11. Perry... I wish that was the issue there.. I haven't come back to that yet.. No Sill options in the Doorway.. Doorway covering double walls.. One of the double walls preventing the stone...
  12. Must have to do with the doorway as the wall caps when drawn without an opening.....
  13. I need the veneer to cap the ends.. Is this controlled by the doorway or the wall type?.. Thanks
  14. David FYI... The model has never take more than 3 to 5 seconds to rebuild here.. May be something on your end?
  15. Thanks Joey... Lots of them to do..
  16. Is there a way to change the pitch AND finish of Cornice returns?
  17. Thanks Guys... Stumbling is the word.. The right gable did not self-heal but I won the battle... Of course I have since introduced double walls at the Porch (to make my life more "interesting").. Surprised how well it worked.. Now the stone refuses to extend into the second "half" of the arched openings.. (The stone wrapped nicely at the walls) Gloves back on.. Some setting in the opening or wall settings... Probably could save myself the headache and made a wall type with a 7" core but I don't want to re-build this thing. As for the grade David I decided to battle that later.. Good for you to see it as fun!..
  18. One of those gables fixed itself with no input from me... I will give the other one some time. Self healing software.
  19. Oldest issue but cannot resolve... Clearly same issue with both gables... X6 file. Helvey.plan
  20. Scott.. I was wondering why there were no elevation options... Soooo many variations of tools in Chief (More dimension types than any other program I have used)... Enough to be dangerous... So it is Elev regions only from here on... Any idea why the splines seem to have no effect on the terrain... ? Thanks
  21. Just did a Shift_Select and I surely didn't draw all those?
  22. How did you guys find that so quickly??.. Must have drawn it accidentally??
  23. Hello, Trying to do a walk out on the left side of this house.. I have 4 Elevation splines drawn at 1034, 1040, 1050, 1060, and 1068... As well as a flat region.. What is the spike in the terrain? And the Flat region is not affecting the terrain as it should... X6 File.. Thanks
  24. Use Special characters and letters to force a useful categorization?
