Hi,
I have a hilly site and would like to make sure my building does not exceed 30 feet from the terrain, is there a way to copy the terrain and lift it by 30 feet(then enable disable it) to check that all the ridges/building height are below 30 feet?
Thx,

Hi GAWDZIRA/all,
Thanks a lot. That worked pretty well, I really appreciate it. I will contact tech support as well.

Hi all,
Thanks for the response.
CJSPUD, I looked at the site but it does not seem straightforward, I will contact tech support.
GAWDZIRA, That would be great! please see the project file attached.

Hi all,
I seem to be having an issue with triggering rendering. It is Ok if I select glass house, line drawing but the default perspective view is not rendering well. I remember it used to take a lot of time and do multiple passes of renders providing with a much better render of what I currently have (see image attached)
How can I get better than this perspective view?
Thanks

Hi all,
I am making a roof plan and would like to mention the heights/elevations of all ridges, chimneys, decks etc relative to the reference point(which I have from a survey). (See the red points in the attached image for details)
Is there an easier way to calculate the heights of these red points from the reference point? other than taking cross section views and then using a tape measure to measure the distance between the point and reference?

matt thanks a lot
that worked like a charm!

Hi all,
I want to see the plan foot print from all floor levels on the plot plan. I have created a layer set with the name plot plan and in it I can see the floor 0 footprint on the contours. However, I cannot see simultaneously floor 0, 1, 2.

Hi Glenn all,
Looks like I have got going on the recessed doors by increasing the width of the stucco and placing a door within. However I can't make the doors swing outside as soon as I make it swing outside the door moves towards the outer part of the wall. I also I have a header in the middle of the french door.
Please see the attached pictures.
Hi Glen, I will try out your idea by using an invisible wall on the front of the door and lowering its ceiling height to get the recessed effect from the top.
I appreciate all the tips.

Yes, I think almost everyone here knows how.
It's just a matter of making the walls return back to where the doors are.
Hi Joe, can you elaborate what you mean by "turn back to where the doors are" ?
I used Perry and Ralt's idea of increasing the width of the wall/stucco but then I get other issues like framing, room not showing up correctly, I can only think that it would also create problems in total floor area...
Is there any other way to do this?

Does anyone know how to make the recessed doors in the above image?
