  1. Hi,

I have a hilly site and would like to make sure my building does not exceed 30 feet from the terrain, is there a way to copy the terrain and lift it by 30 feet(then enable disable it) to check that all the ridges/building height are below 30 feet?

    Thx,

  2. Hi MY civil engineer needs the site plan in dwg file therefore, I am trying to export to dwg but I get "Teigha Error" please see the attached screen shot of the error.

Does any one know how to fix this error?

    Regards, Timmy

  3. Hi

I am trying to add auto exterior dimensions to my plan (shift A), however I get tons of lines in the interior as well. How can I prevent the interior lines and make this more legible? Please see attached images for settings and output detail.

    Regards, Tim

  4. Hi Brian,

Thanks for your response. Please see that I see (main layer and surface) in the living area to setting. So main layer means exterior wall farming and surface is outside surface of walls? Please see attached.

  5. Hi,

Please check the attached images for the problem in my roof. Seems like the bathroom and bedrooms have that ceiling/patch on top of roof! Does someone know how to fix it?

  6. Hi all,

I have an exterior stair which is attaching to the terrain rather than concrete slab. Seems like the upper part is connecting to the railing rather than the first step of the stairs.

Please check the attached image. What could be wrong?

  7. Hi,

I want to put a railing on my driveway but it is not forming at the level of my driveway. It is at the level of my second floor which is higher than the driveway by a foot or so. Please check attached images.

    Thanks

  8. Hi all,

I seem to be having an issue with triggering rendering. It is Ok if I select glass house, line drawing but the default perspective view is not rendering well. I remember it used to take a lot of time and do multiple passes of renders providing with a much better render of what I currently have (see image attached)

How can I get better than this perspective view?

    Thanks

  9. Hi all,

I want to put white color on my wall. I do that in the material specification box. However in perspective view the wall shows up as grey! any clue what I could be doing wrong? See attached captures

  10. Hi all,

I am making a roof plan and would like to mention the heights/elevations of all ridges, chimneys, decks etc relative to the reference point(which I have from a survey). (See the red points in the attached image for details)

Is there an easier way to calculate the heights of these red points from the reference point? other than taking cross section views and then using a tape measure to measure the distance between the point and reference?

  11. Hi,

I am new to CA so having some basic issues with the sides of my deck. Check attached image. I want it to cover with stucco or some other material. Where can I specify that?

    Thanks a lot.post-734-0-08258900-1401346796_thumb.png

  12. Hi all,

I want to see the plan foot print from all floor levels on the plot plan. I have created a layer set with the name plot plan and in it I can see the  floor 0 footprint on the contours. However, I cannot see simultaneously floor 0, 1, 2.

  13. Hi Glenn all,

Looks like I have got going on the recessed doors by increasing the width of the stucco and placing a door within. However I can't make the doors swing outside as soon as I make it swing outside the door moves towards the outer part of the wall. I also I have a header in the middle of the french door.

    Please see the attached pictures.

Hi Glen, I will try out your idea by using an invisible wall on the front of the door and lowering its ceiling height to get the recessed effect from the top.

    I appreciate all the tips.

  14. Yes, I think almost everyone here knows how.

It's just a matter of making the walls return back to where the doors are.

Hi Joe, can you elaborate what you mean by "turn back to where the doors are" ?

I used Perry and Ralt's idea of increasing the width of the wall/stucco but then I get other issues like framing, room not showing up correctly, I can only think that it would also create problems in total floor area...

Is there any other way to do this?
