After making a cross section cut is there a way to automatically highlight the lines where the cut is occuring and lighten/thin the lines/areas beyond? In my cross sections they are all the same.

I am using X7.

Hi all,
I am trying to use the break line tool to do a full break on general CAD lines. However, instead of doing a complete break the Polyline Specification Dialog/popup shows up.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim

Hi all,
I am having an issue with a few of the walls in my plan. For some reason the outermost layer is not showing up instead the Chief Wrap layer is showing up which makes everything look bad. See attached plan and screenshot

Hi all,
I can generate the automatic window and door schedules with the tools->Schedules option. However, I wanted to also include the shape/small picture of the windows and doors along with the automatically generated table. How can I do this in layout?

Hi Curt,
Thanks for the detailed response. I really appreciate it. This is my first modern design therefore, I don't have much experience with flat roofs. I have parapets in my design but would also try the parallel chord truss.

@Gawdzira...of course I would not actually use 2' thick sheathing....I was experimenting. I am trying to get this roof made but have no clue...I am thinking that increasing the fascia height is the way to go and then to fix the ceiling maybe lowering it so that it reaches the bottom of the eave?
See the attached image (Garage and Room roof) for the look I am trying to get. The room roof looks like a parapet roof however the garage roof I am not sure.
-
Actually, I am thinking if a similar effect could be obtained by just modifying the fascia...?

@Drawzilla :-P Perry, I am sure there is an easy way to do it. Please enlighten. I was able to change the sheathing to make it thicker say 2 feet (see attached image)
But still the ceiling does'nt look right since the rafters are exposed.
CJ I am trying to make a 2 feet thick 1/4" sloped roof, I am thinking of using tiles on top and around since the roof will be visible from the street.(just like the soffit example)
Thank you all for your responses.

Ok I was not able to rotate the elevation cameras. However, I found a work around. I added new cameras and copy pasted the information inside the views.
Still if someone knows how to rotate the cameras let me know thanks,
-
Hi all,
I rotated everything in my plan. Now all my layout sets are empty since the cross section/Elevation cameras were not rotated. I am manually able to move the cameras but not able to give it a 90 degree rotation. The rotate handle rotates the label of the camera rather than the camera itself. I do not want to delete the cameras since I have alot of data in the Elevation view.
Please let me know.

Hi Glen and Rich,
Thanks for your replies.
I tried the way Rich suggested using rotate plan view, but now the labels are overlapping in plan view...as well as layout.
I used Glens method and it fixed the labels in plan view as well as layout! but the problem is I cannot rotate all the layers. For some reason in plan view I am able to rotate the plan but not the exterior parking etc..
I am thinking if some layer is locked or not editable? I am attaching the plan please see if you can spot the problem. I am trying to rotate everything counter clockwise 90 degrees.

hi glen,
thanks that is correct. But how can I rotate in plan view? I did edit area all floors, CTRL-A, but rotate under transform is greyed out. I also want the terrain to rotate.
