  1. @TheKitchenAbode Where would I change those dimensions in the Base Cabinet Specification box/panel? I couldn't find any area relating to the left/right styles for cabinetry. :/
  2. Hello. Please see attached images for reference. I am trying to create two separate base cabinets that feature 1" stiles around the entire face frame. However, when two separate base cabinets are place side by side, there should still be 1" instead of 2" in the center. What might be a way to solve this. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank You!
  3. Hello. I am trying to import a floor plan in the file format .dwg into Chief Architect that was designed in Sketchup Please note: which options should be toggled on/off for the best results overall general projects (or both). Or could someone explain these "Fields" in user friendly terms. _________________________________________ . 4. Hello. Attached are several images along with a Chief Architect file to use as reference to my question. I am trying to trace a floor plan I received from one of our designers (the CAD, Default layer is outlined in red). The master plans have already been drawn up in Sketchup. Please note, we build the same floor plan twice, in both programs due to different functions being provided in both. However, it is important both projects are built to exactly the same dimensions. If you look at the first two images you will notice the "Wall Type" I am using for the Exterior Wall is: Siding-4_2. You will notoice the exterior wall is slightly off (due to possible dry wall or other material I am unable to see). Can someone please let me know which wall type would let me draw my exterior walls directly flush with that red line. Please let me know if this makes sense or if you have any other questions. Thank You! WALL_TYPES_DEFAULT_TEMPLATE.plan
  5. Hello. I am currently setting my "Base Cabinet Defaults" for a new project. Under "Box Construction" what is the difference between Framed vs Frameless if the "Door/Drawer Overlay" is a "Inset." Can someone please explain. Thank You!!
  6. @solver All you need is a little patience, and more practice to ultimately find the solution, especially when it ends up not being as simple as you thought
  7. Thank You @Renerabbitt that worked!
  8. Hi @solver. I have applied one CAD line in the plan view and converted it to a molding polyline. I have also tried placing a break but have had no luck trying to edit the baseboard so it runs smoothly. The baseboard should seamlessly run from 24" Depth Full Height Cabinets into 23" Base Cabinets, similar to the crown molding on this entire unit. I have attached my .plan document as reference, however, if you are busy, could you provide me with the video related to this technique. Thank you Eric. Best! CHIEF_TALK_IA_SUMMER_DRAFT.plan
  9. Thank You @solver for the quick response. I already did draw the CAD line in the plan view, however, I have three separated, two covering the full height cabinets, and one longer CAD line stretching across the middle base cabinet section. Should I just use one overall CAD line, that is converted to a molding polyine running across the width of the entire entertainment unit. Also, how do I "break it as required, shaping it to fit," once its converted into a molding polyline. Best! Interior Archaeology
  10. Hello.I have a question on moldings placed on the large Entertainment Cabinet/Station/Unit in my current floor plan our design firm is working on. Attached are a few screenshots for reference.I am trying to find the easiest solution to join baseboards, similar to how I was able to join the crown molding at the top. With the crown molding I was successful in creating three different custom 3D Molding Polylines (5" H x 3/4" Wide/Depth) by turning off "Extrude Inside Polyline" within the Molding Polyline's Specification dialog. I created three more 3D Molding Polylines and tried the same instructions used for the crown molding but placed them at the bottom of this entire unite, however, after following the same steps I did for the crown molding, I had no luck. We need everything to connect seamlessly.I look forward to hearing the best possible solution. Thank You!
