  1. That worked!! Not sure why that was set like shown here. But it could be the Profile that is causing that. It's been such a long time setting anything in a default window setting. I'll have to track back and look at some jobs. Thank You, DBCooper! Thank You, all!
  2. Here is that one plan... However, all the plan files are doing this with an import from 9.5. Everything else is perfect. Deleting the window and placing it back in has the same effect. Vires Deck Replacement.plan
  3. What are these lines showing up on plan files and connected to the windows? It's from an imported file but even creating a new window creates the lines as well. I searched and did not find this problem in the forum. Thanks in Advanced, Rick J. Lee
  4. Hey mthd97, Is there a reason your going to X8 then X10, than just going straight to X10? Thanks, Rick
  5. Hey mth97, Couldn't you just plot a PDF of the layouts for filing those projects and leave the CAD files where they are until you really need them? I have setup a New Layout file for the newer Chief X6. I then copy the .PL* plans to an X6 file folder THEN import them. The existence of an X6 folder in the project folder indicates their maybe something for this project elsewhere. I copy them as Chief has a nasty habit of cutting those PL* files and place them elsewhere. Then all you have to is resend those prints to your newer layout. once you've place them into their new file folders.
  6. My XP gets less and less functions with the browsers IE is gone, Chrome is now taking away sites or says my system clock is wrong?, Mozzila FireFox tries but they are limiting it too. And MyPal is getting really buggy. I surf mainly with the Firestick, doesn't do downloads!
  7. I am going to read this thread in my own time, but some of you guys need to record your successes and upload to YouTube! $$$ My new expert tool in a click on the Firestick!! I call my XP the work horse with running 9.5 as I can't produce fast enough with X6 on my Windows 8 / 8.5 /Now 10?!?!? So many more clicks in drawing. I got the hardware lock to turn on in Windows 10 and so it gives me the Blue Screen of Death... So that ended me trying to run in compatibility mode. I need to YouTube Dual Boot. I had one before but my friend set it up. OOOOooooooh!!! Which one to select... Windows 95 or 98??? You'd think something called XP for Extra Power would've been the end all? Do you see what "THEY" are doing to us?
  8. Oh man! Scott! Thanks! Found it here... "E:\CAD\ChiefX6\Projects X6\Archives\Bowersox_b8345c7eb57301fbd5e65d93857cbd4428aebba6" In fact both the old plan files & the backup files were there! Whew! Thanks again, Rick
  9. By the way, here's the file I would like to be placed back in Chief 9.5.... This is now, Chief X6 so I am looking for _______.pl0, _______.Pl1 & Attic, _______.pl2 Thanks for the time an attention to this matter. RickBowersox.plan
  10. Not sure 9.5 has an "Archives?" The _________.pbn file does not exist. Not sure why? Maybe I'll search *.pbn files...
  11. Any chance to get an older file back? A Chief 9.5 plan I was working on, Bowersox.pl1 & .pl2, got overwritten by Chief X6. Anyway of getting the file back? I do not see the back up file Bowersox.pbn? Thanks, Rick
