I always use the same computer and nobody else accesses my files. I do move the drawings to different monitors. Thank you for reading my question.

I am having a problem with arrows that I have drawn from text to an object in my plan moving and/or changing. I will draw the arrow, send the view to layout, and then exit the drawings. When I re-open the files the text arrow will be in a different location pointing in a different direction. This doesn't happen to all of my arrows and it doesn't happen every time, just randomly (so it seems). Has anyone had a similar issue? I have attached a before and after picture to illustrate what is happening. Thank you! I am drawing some of the footings in my plan manually using the slab tool, but they don't calculate in my material list. Is there a way to create footings manually and have them calculate in the materials list? I am currently using X11. Thank you.

Thank you. Not just 3d views, even floor plan views. It’s noticeably worse on larger files, and seems to get worse the longer I work in a particular file. I will check out your other comments and follow your advice and see if that helps. I appreciate your help.

Can anyone tell me if my computer has the right stuff to run CA? I purchased it about 9 months ago and thought it was going to be super fast, but I still have problems with it lagging and jerking. Thank you.

Thank you Mick. This is my first time using this forum, I will set up my signature as you suggested. I appreciate your help! As far as the problem I'm having, I did have my grid snaps turned off. The issue was occurring when I would select the point to point dimension tool, press the tab key to bring up the "Enter Coordinates" window and type in the exact dimension I wanted. I used this in previous versions without any problems. I will fool around with it some more, perhaps there is just something funky in that particular file. Thanks again! Erin

I'm very frustrated with this tool now. I have turned all my snapping functions off, but the point to point dimension tool is still snapping to something, even when I type in the exact dimension I want. And I haven't been able to edit it after the fact, I have to delete it and try again.

Thank you, that was it!

Thank you. It is selected in both of the plans I've tried it on. Must have something to do with my video card or computer.

My video card is NVIDIA Quadro 3000M Mirror Reflection.plan

Thank you, I've tried all of your suggestions and can't make it happen. I tried it in another plan and no go there either. I must have some other issue.

I'm using X9. I have it turned on in the camera specifications (is that the same as DBX)?

I can not get my mirrors to show reflections. The material properties are set to "mirror" and the camera is set to show reflections. I am in a 3d perspective view with standard rendering technique. Are there other settings that I need to change?
