    I do not think you understand what I am trying to do. I want to put a note on my floor plan 6 Riser @ 7 1/2" 7 treads @ 11 1/2" etc. Is there a way to do this automatically?

    Is there a way to add stair information to the plan automatically? Riser, tread, number of each.

    kind of late but all you have to do is change it to text.

    Just send it to layout or export as an DWG then import into chief and then sent to layout

    Download Draftsight. It is free and has most of the 2d cad you need

    Is there a way to import text files from word?
