Manipulating your plan is fairly simple (not always easy) using the import pdf as an image (After printing to pdf from CA) and Transform features within Photoshop. If you're using a newer version of PS, then 3D compositing is also an option.

I would add a second floor, "Open to Below". Use railings for the walls, and top with a psolid.

Thanks KT. Still not sure how I managed to change it. Darned user error!

My "UP" and "DN" stair text has stopped scaling on zoom, so that if I zoom out, all I see in UP & DN covering the structure. I must've altered a setting somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't find it. Help!

All my wall layers are showing. Plan?

Sounds like some Photoshop work. Which color are you after Joe?

Somebody on the CA Facebook page requested this style faucet. Zipped calibz file...

I just experienced this on a mature plan (Lots of objet and materials in play) while using the Wall Material Region tool. I fussed with settings for about 2 minutes, then saved my work and rebooted. Like many things w/CA, if you do a memory dump via reboot, all will be right with your plan--and so it was.

Is the model "normal" when you open it in SU? What version of SU are you using? Try doing a "Save As..." version 8 from SU, then use the import tool in the CA File menu (File>Import). If no magic, then try dragging the file into a blank CA plan.

What version of CA are you using, and what version of SU were the models built with?

I opened it in SU 2014, checked layers and materials, saved as SU 8 and renamed to get rid of the funky "O". Imported just fine into X6 as furniture.

Watch for duplicate texture/color/material names attached to your model. X6 is not as forgiving of these as X5.

Ok, so... there's snarky, agreeing to snarky, and envious of agreeing to snarky. Hmmm? So who showed the OP how to build the column base? You guys can be a tough crowd sometimes.

Your pattern file location is defined under Preferences>General>Folders>Shared Patterns Folder. Make sure that connection string and reality are one and the same by searching "*.pat" (without the quotes) via widows search. You r *.pat files are most likely someplace other than where the CA connection string is pointing.

Nice Charlie. I did a similar one awhile back. More of an interior focus...

I mostly see this with objects from the Viking library. I feel for you Joe.

Have you tried an Alt drag?

Thanks Brinkster. Good stuff.

The first image is about the best results I achieved using HD Pro 2012 w/heavy post in Photoshop and PhotoScape.
The second is a CA Premier ray trace w/post in Photoshop CC and AlienSkin Exposure 5. If you ray trace using TheaRender, Vray, BunkSpeed, etc., etc. you will get much better results. But, this is a CA forum, so I'll stick to CA render/ray trace issues.
And I have no idea how video got stuck in this thread?
