  1. I am a creative Cadd designer with unique experience and perspective from my collection of work as a designer. I have 10 years experience as an engineering tech and cadd designer, working for architects and engineers.

    I  use Chief Architect Premier X9 & X10 (SSA member) and have used Chief Architect since Version X6, or for roughly 5-8 years. I use Team Viewer and Zoom meeting to conduct online meetings and review work together online. I am technologically versed in all types of Cadd programs, and other software that help me in my design business.

    I am happy to talk with you about your design needs, or to review your plan with you online to see how we could work together. I am on the east coast of SW Florida. My rates can be discussed on a per project basis, or hourly based on the size and scope of the project. Looking to give discounts, to those in the Panhandle of northern Florida, or the areas of S. California, which have been effected by the enormous fires, who may need plans due to the hurricane recovery, or fires, this also applies to veterans of the US armed forces.

    The value and potential benefit for your specific project is about to unfold, contact me so that we can discuss making your dreams a reality! See it before you build it!

  2. Question;

    How do I get or download all of the "plant images" that I need

    to allow me to select from when I am in the plant chooser

    in the terrain module of the CA X10 software?

    Do these all need to be downloaded from the website as library or calib. files?

  3. Hi;

    This is a discussion, to try and explore what the best options are for trying to

    master the 3D Rendering and Perspective views, outside of using the Chief X10

    PBR, and other rendering options within the Chief software? As I feel that the current

    version of the software doesn't compare to the other rendering engines that are out there now.

    There are several choices, Lumion 6 or 7, which is both expensive, but easier to learn

    from what I hear at least. Most designers are using this one now....?

    Other options, might be to export the 3D views from Chief into Sketchup and use the

    3D Rendering options there using the Vray engine to create the 3D photorealistic views and renderings?

    Autocad 3d Max, is another option, but runs with Vray, and is harder to learn from what I hear as well?

    Please let me know your thoughts here, as well as what you're finding to work the best and easiest

    on a faster machine, with a lightning fast Video card and processor.

    Please see the sample renderings that Sam Vitone does for me now on Lumion.

    Note:

    This is all except the bathroom, as it is a real life photo taken after construction of a remodel....

  4. Here is a personal recommendation for Sam's quality and worksmanship.

    I use him often, to do my color renderings, and have had sensational results from him!

    He spends the extra time to get things perfect, and fulfill the customers desired outcome and needs.

    Any further questions can be directed to me.His results are worth taking the time to contact him.

  5. The only roof section that I can think of interfering with the wall above in the attic

    has to be the simple hip roof above it.

    maybe if I go and delete that part of the roof and then rebuild it, the problem will resolve itself. What do you think?

  6. Hey Guys, gals;

    I am having some difficulties getting this outer second floor wall (below) and the attic wall above to align up properly here?

    I am working in Chief X9, on this project, please see the photos below(attached), and if you would be so kind, give me your solutions

    to this problem? (i.e.) I went up into the attic floor level, as I saw no attic wall there to align with the second floor below either...?

    Thx,

  7. Hi guys;

    I’m trying to join two roofs here as you can see in the photos attached.

    the top main roof is a standard hip style, 3.5/12 Roof pitch, and the turret roofs are all on a 5/12 Roof pitch.

    So then, how do I blend these two different roof styles together, both at different pitches, so that they blend and will look right please?

    thx,

  8. Robert;

    I think that I can help you with converting this DWG, which has the files imported into an CA Home Designer 2018 compatible HDP file that you can utilize to do what your wanting in Chief. Give me a call, so that we can discuss this, and see what we can arrange for my time to help?

    (FYI, I also have Autocadd), so, if there are any changes with the Autocadd file, I can help here as well?

    Try me by email first, then later this afternoon, you can try me by cell phone as I am on eastern time zone, here in SW Florida.

    Thx,
