Residential designer and principal of Harmony Design and Renovation in Ontario. I hold a BCIN with Building Structural (Part 4) authorization, so I design and seal engineered elements in-house on top of the usual Part 9 work. I've been drawing in Chief Architect for 11 years, mostly custom homes, additions, and renovations across Ontario and BC.

On the side, I built SmartSTRUC, a structural design tool for residential designers covering beams, headers, posts, and load paths under OBC, BCBC, NBC, CSA O86 and CSA A23.3. We have developed an integration path that allows SmartSTRUC users to transfer structural information to Chief Architect and other CAD programs.

I'm happy to help with framing layouts, load paths, code questions, and getting structural intent onto a Chief plan set in a way that holds up at permit review.
