I have a 40" vizio in my office for my clients but have trouble seeing the floor plan on the screen when it is duplicated from my working screen, when doing elevation and camera views it works great just wish I can figure out how to get the floor plans to look good on there also it keeps clients from hanging over my shoulder looking at there floor plans, if anyone has any suggestion I am open for them all to get the floor plans looking better or even looking somewhat visable on that screen, my main screen is a 28" monitor with a 24" monitor for my lib files to be on then I duplicate the 28" onto the 40" for clients

I just had 4 exterior elevations open and all screens were ok, tiled them on my screen and could see all of them, send it in or could it be a video card issue

isn't sq. m the same no matter what material would be used on that wall, paper, paint tile or am I not thinking the way you are

Todd if you do a copy and paste into x7 from your x6 version you will retain what you have completed in the x6 version and can go back to that to do further work if needed

Joe I just reread the post I was thinking he wanted win x7 at the office and mac x7 at his house in this way he would have to deactivate but you are correct about x6 and x7

Lew first sorry about your health issues and pray things work out for you, I guess there reason is with there release date of March that is when it is official and all  who have there ssa would get the x7, when they started ssa I thought we would be getting new features as they came available not just updates

Todd you will be able to download both versions but will have to deactivate the one before using the other

Lew I don't think you will get it since the official release is not til sometime in march I think, mine was do feb 1 and I didn't get it until I upgraded my SSA and was told that it was my ssa was not up to date for the official release I will have to try and find the post about that

Dennis I copied my X6 profile plan and pasted it in X7 so that I still have a copy in X6 

I thought X7 was going to be available today for SSA users but I cannot find it anywhere including my digital locker.

What gives?

Dennis I just called and updated my ssa which was not due til feb 1, 2015 and got an email back saying that when the new ssa was processed it would be in my digital locker, not sure why when my ssa was up to date until the first of Feb

I understand what is being said as far as pictures goes but as a builder in my previous lifetime , I never look that close at the pictures I depended on the construction drawings when I see grids that showed 2 over 3 I knew what to order or I and I would always interact with the homeowner, showing a sheet of cad lines of doors and windows on a 24 x 36 sheet doesn't mean much to the guy building this he is more interested in the window and door schedule for the sizes he needs to make the openings for the windows that the client is going to use and what the r.o. would be and have them on the print where he is framing from Less paper to carry around and more accurate than seeing cad drawings they can see that on the elevation pages if needed, just my opinion and my customers don't see the fine detail that is being pointed out here, I would rather Chief work on stairs and railing for more accuracy and flexibility,

I swear,  I am so fed up with this SoCal weather,  it's over 66 degrees outside and the sun is beating down through my office window......  I have to turn on the A/C to cool this room down.......  I suppose when I play golf this Thursday,  hopefully it will a bit overcast so I won't sweat as I am hitting my tee shots.

try comodo my computer guy put me on to this one and seems to be working ok, 

was your wall under the stairs done in the dbx box that you have open underneath unchecked if that is the case I would draw a wall and put it about 1" inside of the stairs and it should show then

I opened your plan and the railings were ok when I opened it, the only thing was on the right second floor the front railings were missing

are you calling this a balcony or open below, you get different effects a balcony is for the outside of the house even though they are called that also for the interior but chief balcony is outside maybe that is why you are getting this change it to open below and see what happens

you could put your text in where you want it the put each txt on a different layer lets say kitchen text, then another txt layer saying bathroom text then you can use the layer painter to put what you want on those layers or just select those items and change there text to the text layer you want them to be on, another way is to do it through different annotation sets, I have an electrical annotation set which I have the electrical text on a layer named nothing other then electrical text, this way all my electrical notes show up only when I have that annotation set on

If you look farther below you will see a block that says text style and to the right it say define, if you select that you can make your text anything you want for that item and when you open the define box you will see what the default text style is and you can change all of the in your default setup or in your annotation sets for each set

I think the confusion was that I use to have it on 2 monitors and when I connected the old computer to a single monitor I couldn't see my lib browser when I opened an existing file then I opened up new plan file and I found it there, thks for rthe help
