  1. Thank you again! I'll be checking out that video if I can find it.
  2. Hello all, I recently started a thread about problems with my curb cutting for driveways. @Michael_Gia gave me the idea of using 3D molding to make the curb so that it behaves predictably and I am able to edit it as needed unlike the automatic curb. After messing with molding polylines and settings I am stumped again. I was able to create the curb for all of the untouched portions of road, but I can't seem to figure out how to show the transition between the normal curb to the driveway, similar to the look for the automatic curb cutting. So far, all I can get is like the picture above, where the curb abruptly ends. I tried putting a 1/16th high strip of molding (the white bar in the picture) in between to show some sort of transition but no dice. I've attached the small plan I made to work with this problem.Driveway Curb.plan
  3. Thank you! I'll be completely reworking the curbs for this plan so I probably won't post it, but this is great information for next time!
  4. To your point, I opened the plan this morning and all the driveways were cutting correctly but the road was jagged where they connected. I don't mind working a little more if I can actually get a consistent result so I will definitely be trying the 3D moulding method. Thank you, Michael. It seems with these automatic features, the only way they save time is if you have exactly the right conditions to use them in the first place.
  5. Thank you for pointing that out! Unfortunately, I've now realized that due to the size of the plan file it is still roughly 45MB when compressed so I don't think I can upload it in the normal fashion. If there are any other ways to make it available I will definitely try those.
  6. I did try this and unfortunately no dice. Plan is now attached. Red Tail Ridge Phase 1.plan
  7. Hello, I have a few driveways on the plan I'm currently working on and I'm having issues with how they interact with the road curb. I have a 24" flare on the ends of every driveway, and the curb will cut for the normal driveway dimensions but not for the flared portion. The problem is consistent with all three driveways and they are all STRAIGHT driveways rather than POLYLINE driveways, which seem to cause issues with roads. I've attempted this in another, empty plan with four driveways much closer together and had no issues so I'm wondering if it's a bug. All help or advice is appreciated!
  8. The issue with this is that when I convert it to a cad block, the text box becomes part of the block and, therefore; is unchangeable when I insert said block into another plan. I am essentially wanting a point that I can click on to insert the text in the same spot every time.
  9. Hello, I'm attempting to create a CAD block which will allow me to distinctly list square footing, bed and bath count, etc. Is there a way I can have points, roughly where the temporary points are now, that will allow me to add text after using this CAD block in another plan so that I don't have to manually adjust the text boxes every time? All help is greatly appreciated!
  10. Thank you! Worked perfectly and has saved me a lot of stress!
  11. These tools worked well, but I am still unable to shape the web in order to fit in the corner between the bottom chord and kingpost. Like in the pictures, every time I extend or cut the web to reach these members, it extends past the border of one or the other. Perhaps I don't understand the behavior of roof truss framing members well enough.
  12. Does anyone know if their is a way to manually edit webs in the truss detail view. From what I can tell, they do not behave like most poly-line objects(such as adding break points, changing the profile, etc.).
