  1. Hi friends, I'm challenging a Revit course with Chief Architect and one of the things I have to provide is a "ceiling plan in a realistic or rendered view style". I have no idea what this would look like. I've done some digging online and found nothing. Does anyone here know what that might look like and how to achieve it? Cheers, Julia
  2. Hello friends, Can someone please tell me what the leader line from the dimension number and the dimension line is called. It's the L shaped leader that shows up when it thinks the number won't fit on the line. I'd like to change this setting to do this less frequently because some of mine look like they should fit and it's easier to read with less of them. Can anyone direct me to where this can be adjusted? I've searched the settings but can't figure it out.
  3. I couldn't find this. Can you provide screen shots of where you're referring to?
  4. Hello friends, I've put soffit lights in my model and they are all on, except in this one area. Can anyone tell me how to get them on?
  5. Hello friends, Does anyone know if there's hardware in a Chief catalogue to build this a cantilevered awning or steel canopy. Or do I have to build something with 3D solids? Thanks! Julia
  6. Hi Robert, Thanks for the info. I tried to do as you said, but I'm only seeing one version of the material in Plan Materials.
  7. Someone asked for the stone in a private message - here you go! Stone Wall Overgrouted light.calibz
  8. Hi Robert, I checked and it looks to me that the material is the same. Painting in plan mode didn't work. Here's a snapshot of my plan materials showing there isn't multiples of the same thing.
  9. Thanks! Do you have anyone you'd recommend?
  10. Here's my first try at this. Here's a dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/52xdx0u55oi0eughpdzej/Pate-07-31-24.plan?rlkey=r49ggohelidtd7k54fwclwx3h&dl=0
  11. Thanks for your suggestions! I can never post my plans because the files are too big. I checked the "Structure" of that roof plane with that edge checked and the gable fascia checkbox was unchecked - that was the ticket! Now I have a smaller issue with the shadow boards not matching. I compared most of the settings and almost everything matches. I did notice that the "Fascia Top Height" and "Shadow Boards Top Height" don't match between the two roof planes, but I can't seem to be able to fix it. If I try to adjust these to match, either the pitch goes off, of the ridge top height. I found the same sort of issue on another gable end. You would think the planes are not matching but everything looks spot on in plan. I'm going to try sharing the file via Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/52xdx0u55oi0eughpdzej/Pate-07-31-24.plan?rlkey=r49ggohelidtd7k54fwclwx3h&dl=0
  12. Thank you for taking the time to provide a suggestion for me. I've taken a good look at the edges do appear to be at 90 degrees. I was really hoping it wasn't so I could fix it but it still doesn't have fascia. I'd post the file but it's way too big.
  13. Hi everyone, Does anyone know how to get rid of the lines shown on these exterior walls and the lines around this tree?
  14. Hello everyone, Does anyone know how to get a fascia on the place where it's missing in this screenshot?
  15. Hello everyone, I'm rendering this house for a visual for my clients, not for construction. How do I decrease the space between the house floor and the terrain? Visually, I want to move the terrain up.
  16. Ok, who can tell me how to fix this lovely little catastrophe? I'd upload the file but it's too big.
  17. Hello fellow CA users, I'm trying to replicate the mulled unit in the first image. I created a door and 3 windows. When I select all 4 items and click "create mulled unit" the warning pops up. Can anyone help me?
  18. Does this work? I circled the areas that relate to each other.
  19. I never seem to be able to do this because my files are always bigger than the 14 MB max file size. Is there some way around this?
  20. I've been working on this model for some time and have not been able to figure out what this white line is here. I've looked in plan with all layers turned on and can't figure it out. Any suggestions? Close up:
  21. I have a room divider for the shower so that I don't have baseboards in the shower. Are you suggesting a second room divider?
  22. Hello friends, I'm trying to draw a pony wall in a shower. The pony wall was drawn as a railing in Chief with glass on top. I need the wall to come beyond the end of the shower tray, where there's a glass wall perpendicular. The pony wall needs to extend past the perpendicular wall but it keeps snapping to it. I can either have it too far past, or not enough, but it won't allow it just a couple inches past. What do I do? You can see in the image that the flange of the shower tray is poking out which I'm trying to fix.
