I need to cut this section of wall to have an upper space above the living area (12' ceiling beyond the wall) Needs stairs also which I can do, the main thing I need to figure out creating a space in the wall.

I am having an issue with story pole dimensions... I have a small vault built in the garage; the top of plate is using this height. I need to set the dimension for the ceiling height as well as the highest ridge. Is this possible?

I need to create purlins in the garage ceiling(vaulted) and also put in rolled insulation. Only in garage, not living area. Thanks, any ideas?

Is there a way to add attic vents on the roof plane? So far only being able to find vents that position in attic floor.

I pulled the wall up above the roof, can I use the roof plane to cut the wall as needed.

I was able to create taller walls with a dropped ceiling, however the roof is doing this. See attached.

For anyone with this issue, double click on the room, and under total room click Include in Total Area Calculation.

For future reference if anyone has this is in question, double click on the room and a dialog box opens and check Include Living Area Calculation

Posted again. No resolve yet. I am trying to get the living area square footage for the first-floor garage. The second floor is showing what is needed.

I did what you said, however its only working on the second floor, how can I get it displayed for both floors?

Somehow my entire square footage for the building was shut off, checked layers and that was good. Any ideas?
