I'm attaching a layout file. I colored coded the rooms in the floorplan, however this carried over into the electrical and mechanical. Is there any way to just keep the color coding to the floor plan??? KATHY (3).zip

Using the post option, which option in the drop down would be closest to a wall column?
-
Also, I'm shading the rooms with Fill-Color, however it's shading the electrical, and mechanical, these need to be blank, is there a layer for this?
-
I found the Column I want to use in Millwork under the Library Browser. However, having difficulties placing inside wall. See attached. Thanks as always.

Wow that almost fixed everything...

I was finishing up my project and found some major issues with the 2nd Floor. If you open up a 3d in the plan, the second floor doesn't have a floor, only the ceiling from the first floor. Also in the working plan, rooms won't select...and last having issues with the vaulted ceiling material. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. RichardFloorPlan (2).zip

My plans are calling for a curved ceiling, is this something that can be done in Chief?

I made a copy, stripped it, labeled it, and attached a zip file. I need help to fix the issues with the gable (see attached main building). and the hip roof on the mech building (96' height, 3/12 slope. Let me know what diagnosis is, so I can fix in the main copy. Thanks Michael Chieftalk Q (2).zip

How do you attach a plan file that’s too large? I think mine was 46 mb. -
I tried to attach a plan file, but was too large...

I'm having issues with the roof plan. Auto Rebuild is not working at all. I did a manual gable over the main building, however as you can see in the attached photo, the end is protruding... Also, you can see the separate mechanical building, the roof plane tool is a bit off and there is a "box" around the plane. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jeremy3.zip

I got it working, in camera view the roof materials panel showed “open.” I changed it to standard seam and the planes showed. Thanks anyway! -

The plane highlights but is invisible otherwise. -

This is the result using auto roofs, had to do it manually. -

I got this far...now the roof planes are missing, is this a layer issue? -
I have various ceiling heights in this project, and the story pole is finding them, however in the large garage I have walls and ceiling height set 14' but they aren't showing up in elevation dimensions. Any ideas. I attached a snip foe reference. Thanks in advance.

I've bee doing searches on google, is this what is referred to as a gable end wall?
-
Do you use default wall setting?

Is there a way to create a wall so the roof isn't showing below the gable?
