  1. Since I opened this thread I would like to close it and in conclusion I would like to point out that the (2) most requested items desperately needed to be "fixed" are: Stairs and Auto Elevations

Why do we have to wait for these fixes any longer? Why do people speak of waiting to see if perhaps they will show up in X8 or X9? Perhaps beta users know something we don't ?

    - I really hope CA engineers are paying attention to this thread because its customers have spoken. Is all about your customers needs - don't become another Autodesk please......

    Thanks everyone for your input

  2. "Overclocking is the process of forcing a computer or component to operate faster than the manufactured clock frequency (hence the name "overclocking"). Operating voltages may also be changed (increased), which can increase the speed at which operation remains stable. Most overclocking techniques increase power consumption, generating more heat, which must be dispersed if the chip is to remain operational."

  3. We will be switching to CA next year and the company I work for just ordered (2) of these:

    Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-5820K Processor (6-cores, 15MB Cache, Overclocked up to 3.8 GHz w/ Turbo Boost)

Power Supply: Alienware™ 850 Watt Multi-GPU Approved Power Supply

Operating System: Windows 7 Profesional (64Bit) English

    Memory: 16GB Quad Channel DDR4 at 2133MHz

    Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 980 with 4GB GDDR5

    Hard Drive: SSD 128GB

  4. Hello Chiefers - I manage an architectural department for a production/semi-custom builder and I am in need of a good residential draftsman. I don't care what software version you use as long as you can follow the project specifications and can produce an accurate, clean and good looking set of architectural drawings. My budget allows to contract someone on an hourly basis (per house contract) with a not-to-exceed dollar amount. The right person will finish projects in a timely manner and needs to be someone reliable who can turn in projects whenever they say they will finish.  Currently I have backlog of about 13 house plans so the right person will start working ASAP (Experience with American historic styles it will be a huge plus, most of these houses are in historic districts or infill areas)

The plans you will produce will very standard: Cover Sheet, Foundation Plan, floor plans, roof plan, exterior elevations, minimal wall section/details (We know how to build houses, don't need a ton of details) and electrical layouts. The plans will be around 2500 to 3400 SF.

I want to contract someone who has plenty of experience working with production home builders and not someone who makes their living doing additions or remodels. If you meet the requirements and are interested, please email me your hourly rates as well as some recent residential samples.

    Please email me at:  raul.torres@thesrteam.com

    Thanks
