If I have a surveyor topo in dwg is there a way to bring in all the lines? Can you convert these lines to chief contour lines? Is there a good instruction resource how to do this? Sorry I’m a new b

With a plan with multiple structures, is there a way to select the floor of a given structure without having to select each room?

I started getting the attached message for a while it was working and unfortunately didn't catch what started the cause of this to undo. All of my walls should be icf but there are a bunch of retaining walls. I tried changing from regions to lines but that did not fix and the slope wasn't reflective. I tried to remove all elevation regions but the same message. Any idea what could be causing. I also am wondering if there is a way to slim the file down in size. It is about 14 mb which I don't know if that is a big file? 2024-03-05 0819a.zip

Is there a way to do an ICF floor similar to Quad Deck in Chief and have the materials auto calc?

What do these two checks do? I looked at the help and don't really understand curious if someone has a better explanation.

Is there a way in Chief to draw something similar with vertical boards at an angle to provide a directional privacy screen

I have one plan with my terrain and the other plan with my structure. When I go to reference display and go standard for the structure I can no longer see the terrain in 3d. But when I do glass house I can see the terrain and the house. When I go set the house to standard I can see the house but no longer the terrain just a subtle shadow. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Curious if there is a way to open another instance of chief or work on another plan when a plan while Chief is building a terrain/interpolating on Mac?

I had a plan with a couple structures on it where the foundation wall was also retaining the terrain. It was taking forever so I copied the terrain perimeter, areas, and roads to a new file attached and it is pretty much doing the same. Not sure why it is taking so long and/or if there is anything I can do to speed it up. I am also having issues where the driveway is not making the counter lines going up. Should go up and then back down and around. All of the lines should be straight lines but I have a feeling there are a lot of breaks in there and being a new b not sure how to clear out all the breaks other than creating a whole new region. 2024-03-02 Terrain.plan

Sorry new b question. I have multiple structures is the best way to draw each one on a plan and do reference display on one terrain? If so would I draw one plan with the terrain and on the terrain draw terrain retaining lines where there will be foundation walls retaining and then add the reference display of the structures or will Chief adjust the terrain?

Curious if there is an ideal triangle count? Max triangle count? How can you check current triangle count?

Thanks, adding a ceiling finish did the trick not sure why but the defaults didn't transfer

If I have a plan with multiple buildings is there a way to print only one building? I know I can probably put on a layout but don't want to mess up the layouts by type foundation etc?

Do you use elevation lines or regions? Seems like Elevation Lines interpolate way faster than regions?
