  1. You guessed wrong. I made the video. It is a video of me trying to figure it out, not a video I found that I used as an example. So yes, the video shows what is going wrong and does not show what is correct.
  2. Hmm...I posted a video screen-capture of what I'm doing. I don't think I can get any more detailed than that.
  3. I'm so lost on this software. I'm simply trying to learn how to make a simple 4-wall structure, a rectangle, on a 4" slab with 8" thick foundation walls, 12" of which is exposed above the terrain, then create a patio slab that's 4" below the house slab. The west and east walls are 8" block and they sit direction on top of the foundation wall which is flush with the top of the slab. I've been working on this for about 3 hours and I'm totally dumbfounded that it's been this difficult for me to grasp. Every setting I try yields an undesired result and I know this should be a simple exercise. Here's a video I posted on my YouTube channel to illustrate what I'm doing. Maybe someone can slap me in the right direction.
  4. I can drag an exterior block wall, but I'm stumped as to how I would create the 8" thick columns that run vertically, every so often down the length of the wall. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
  5. Hmm...how did I miss that? I guess I searched the forum and not the KB. The resources for this software are amazing. Terminology. Words I think of: Icon, Legend, Cursor, Tool Icon... but "pointer" wasn't one that I would have thought of...now I will. Also, ALT, CTRL, etc., don't necessarily translate to a MAC keyboard. One other thing. The tools have corresponding keystrokes that are supposed to select them. They aren't working on my Macbook.
  6. On the right hand side of my screen, I have 4 options for altering lines, none of which respond to the associated keyboard assignments, incidentally. I don't know why they're on the right side of the library browser, nor how I managed to get them there, but this fillet tool won't go away, and having this attached to my selection cursor is confusing. How do I just get a hand or a selection arrow?
  7. I can do the math, but I thought maybe there was a way in the software. My main living space/kitchen is a rectangle with fully finished dimensions at 34' 6" X 16' 7". One exterior wall is 8" block with a 2.5" interior furred wall with 1/2" drywall (3" total) and the opposite that wall is a load bearing wall at 4 1/2" (3 1/2" studs and 1/2" drywall.) All of the remaining framing in the townhome is 2x3, not including the flat-roof beams (forgive me, I'm learning the terminology if beams isn't correct.) QUESTION: If I draw the rectangle using default wall settings, then change the materials and thicknesses of each wall after the fact, how can I reposition those walls to fit interior dimensions, and how do I measure interior dimensions from the drywall as opposed to from the studs?
