  1. I tried to include the plan file, even compressed, it was too large, (28.7mb) The issue I'm having is the 2nd floor, and attic walls extend beyond the 1st floor walls. These walls end part way across the room. When I extend the 1st floor walls, to match the 2nd floor walls, the 2nd floor walls just extend further. When I decrease the length of the 2nd & attic floor walls, they disappear. I've had this happen on previous plans, but I can't remember how, or if I fixed the issue. Again, sorry I can't include the plan. Thanks for any suggestions, I haven't used the forum for quite a long while, I don't see my signature. Not sure what happened to it, I'll have to check on how to make a new one. I'm using X15 Best Regards, Scott

  5. I've used Stone slabs, (created with the 3D solids tool), as part of the exterior wall structure. However CA doesn't recognize the stone as a wall. Therefore no room definition, no floors, etc... When I try to connect between the stone slabs, using invisible walls, the invisible walls connect such that the internal layers of the existing exterior walls, are visible. Any ideas? Is there a way to make CA recognize the stone slabs, as wall sections? Thank you in advance, Scott Stonehenge.zip

  8. Thanks for the responses. This happens on every plan. Also forgot to mention when working on a plan, if I make changes, ie; add a wall, or object, and then later decide to delete a wall or object, the program asks if I want to save this plan. No matter my response, yes or no, the program then closes. However if after I just create, or open a plan, and add a wall for example, then delete it right away, there is no issue. It's only after I have worked on several other things, that I can't go back and delete something I did much earlier. I hope I'm making sense. So if I want to make a change, I first save the plan, then reopen, and I can make any changes I desire. Very strange. BTW Ryan, no locked layers. Not sure what you mean by, "reference display item"? I have restarted the program many, many times, as you can imagine, with the program closing itself frequently.
  9. For reasons unknown to me, I can no longer delete: Library items, or Catalogs, entire floors, of a plan. These are the things I've tried. Not sure what else. The program acts like it's going to delete, I get the warning, acknowledge it, and nothing happens. This didn't happen in X12. Any ideas why in X14? Thanks in advance, Scott

  17. Here's what I came up with, but boy was it a bear, and it looks worse on the inside. I built walls on the roof, cut a hole in the roof, put a roof on the walls. Messed around for an hour. There's got to be an easier way. Clerestory Windows, Above Frt Rt.pdf Clerestory Windows, Rear Left.pdf

  21. Hi all, I'm designing an A-Frame house. I want a bonus room over the garage, and an additional room and open area, on the second floor. (see plan) The problem I'm having is getting the upper walls to join, without protruding through the roof planes. Any instruction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Scott PS. I can't remember if my signature block gets added automatically, so in case it doesn't I'm using X12 A-Frame.zip
