When I draw a shower pony wall it dimensions to the glass on top. Is there a way to get it to dimension to the lower wall instead? Bob Deal Coastline Construction, LLC CA 9 - X15

Late to the party but I just had a similar problem... I put in the slider which goes through the double wall then added another slider with 0 doors (I guess a "doorway" would do the same) right next to it but made it not go through the double wall so it was only in the exterior wall. This shows the framer what to do. I my case I had an open pocket so the doorway was fine. In your case I would use a pocket door next to the slider.

Seems to me if you "reverse" the plan then rotate it 180 you will easily get what you want.

Do you have one to do a simple area calculation table like 'Willis93' is asking for?

Yes, very similar although yours looks more like a wall with a doorway. Mine is 12x12 block columns with a double 2x12 header on top and return to block wall. On top of the headers is wood framing to create the 3' wall over the porch.

I’m trying to draw walls over my porch, just as part of the covered porch. Tried doing t second floor but gives problems. Any help is appreciated. See attached drawing. The columns end at the dashed line with 3’ wall to the roof line. Bob x12
