We are having troubles importing our scans from Canvas into our plan template. Their instructions are not the best. Is there a general practice for importing an existing plan file into your template?

Where did my floor joists go? They are turned on....

When checking out a used computer is there a website that one can go to test the "clock speed" and know if the computer will handle large Chief files well?

A half hip roof is where a top portion of a gable end becomes a hip roof, essentially eliminating the point of a gable end. Are you saying I need to draw these manually?

I found a helpful video on how to create a half hip roof but it is using the auto rebuild feature. On my current design I am long beyond auto rebuild. I can't get the settings to stick in the wall specification under the roof tab.

I'm trying to rotate a drawing as well using the edit all floors tool. When I do this I get all sorts of off angle warnings. I have uploaded a DWG file from my engineer so I can orient the house within the buildable area. Any Feedback?

I'm good on the exterior, not so much on the interior

No, they are 3 separate planes. I drew the tall eave wall and the side walls. I then created the rear single roof plane and the two larger front planes connecting them at the ridge. I dragged the two side planes over the side walls. That all seemed to work well. My problem is now getting the shed roof plane to work. FYI, thanks for the feedback with regards to posting.

I have been able to get this dormer really close but not perfect. Is there a simple way to do this? I drew the dormer walls on the second floor. This is how I have the walls set I cant get the two roof planes to line up perfectly Dormer Test.pdf

I tried using the build terrain feature for the first time and now this icon is attached to my cross hairs. The create terrain perimeter function is grayed out and I cannot click it. Any ideas?

I am new to Chief I have watched a bunch of the training videos and I am starting to get the hang of it. Of course my first project is a fairly large house, I figure a good way to get my feet wet. I can't seem to figure out why I am getting this message, I can't see to figure out how to correct the floor height issue. Any suggestions?
