  12. Michael, Thanks for the info. I'll give that a try. Robert...I hesitate to make the foundation on level 1. Then when I do the real level 1 ( the first floor), things could get weird.

  14. I'm trying to figure out the best way to show a dig out or dug out basement. The original house was on a crawl space and then a basement was created, leaving the original foundation walls, creating "shelves" which transition from the old to new basement depth. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. I just don't know the best way to show it. Any suggestions? Thanks. Mark
  15. Thanks. I'll give it a try and see what happens. Mark
  16. Can I just scan it, including the stamp with my signature, making a jpg file and then importing it into chief and putting in the seal box on the zero page on the layout sheet? Mark
  17. Hi All, It looks like the building departments here in NY are now accepting digital submissions for building permit applications in lieu of paper submissions. I was wondering is any of you have experience with this. Specifically how do you include a digital signature and seal?...if that is required. It's easy enough to create a pdf file but the rest of it I don't know how to go about it. I know there are companies out there that do digital signatures but I'm not sure that's what I need. Mark
  18. I'm working on a contemporary house and I would like to use a cable railing for the stairs. I see that there is a "cable railing" in Chief under "fence railings" in the chief core catalogs but the cables run in the wrong direction. The cables should run parallel with the railings. Anybody have anything? Thanks. Mark
  19. I did try that but it didn't work. I sent them an email to their tech support. Thanks for the suggestion.
  20. Ray, I went to the WinLine site and I see that they do have a version to support Windows 10 now and I installed it ( version 9). I just don't know how to configure it....or am I supposed to configure the plotter?? It still doesn't work but I see that the new plotter driver is set to "Manual" for the paper and I am using a roll plotter. Any thoughts??
  21. Ray, WinLine doesn't list Windows 10 as a supported system
  22. I did try plotting it out from the saved pdf file but that won't work either. I have an HP Designjet 500
  23. I spoke with technical support from Chief this morning and they told me HP does not have a driver for my old HP plotter designjet 500 that will work with windows 10.
