  1. Thanks, that was a simple fix! Not sure why the slab is still not at the same level as the footer -from what I'm seeing in the cross section view (builder wants slab flush with the footers).....
  2. So I have a simple elevation problem where my dimension is showing an extra 1 5/8" (at the foundation level) that I am not sure where it is coming from. I have a 4" slab foundation with 8x16" footers and stepped FoxBLOX along the sides as it is a partially underground. It does look as though the slab is not sitting at the same level as the footers. It looks like it is 7/8" above the footers from the backclipped view. The Cross Section Elevation also has an extra 1 7/8" on my dimension string. My builder wants the basement to be 8' 1 1/2" . So I would like to eliminate this extra height. Kent House STAIRS: Revised :Auto Dimension.pdf Kent House STAIRS: Revised:North.pdf Kent House STAIRS: Revised.plan
  3. Yes I did zoom in. No increase in size, but because of the length of the structure it limits my zoom
  4. Since the building is already built, (its the overhang post structure and stairs that will be added) I'm want to give the client as accurate and large a view as possible
  5. Oh yes, I zoomed in but the building is so long its a tight fit screen wise.
  6. So something like an elevation view or 2D which could have dimensions is the way to go than? I would like to send as realistic a view as possible (hence the image view) for the client but it looks so small
  7. I did try to resend but its not any better or bigger.
  8. No, it was not an elevation view and yes I sent an image (camera view) to Layout. Here's the plan, #1Scott Shop:Boone ADDITION (modified).plan
  9. I did do that but it doesn't change the live camera view size. Only the layout box is enlarged....the camera view stays the same
  10. How do you rescale a 3D camera view that is already sent to Layout. Used to be an option to resize and I'm not seeing that anymore. Am I missing something? When I send to Layout the rescale option is grayed out....used to be a convenient option at the bottom of screen to quickly resize, anyway here's the layout file. Thank you #1Scott Shop:Boone ADDITION (modified).layout
  11. Ok, so what should I do since my model is drawn and I don't have a "Floor 0"- my basement is on "Floor 1". I like your section detail - S3 garage detail is exactly what i'm trying to accomplish with 3 sides on my plan....How did you get a slab aligned with a footer?
  12. i have a 3 story house with a slab floor, full heighth basement, sloped terrain on 2 sides and 4 ft. stem walls on 3 sides. Is the Basement/ First Floor considered a "Foundation"? And since I don't have a "Foundation level" is the slab still editable? i.e. can I lower it so it is the same height as the top of the footers?
  13. Thanks I will try this....Adjusting my dimensions hopefully will fix this - a clean intersection is what I want.
  14. I've got a 3 story house with 8' high basement, 8in. high footers (12" wide) sitting under Fox Block walls with a slab foundation. Can anyone offer a solution or explanation as to why the footers are not sitting directly underneath the basement slab on the elevation view? They look like they are running into the slab....
  15. Thankyou for the video - they're always appreciated - I included the roof baselines because I thought I could manipulate the roof lines better. I don't think I have a complete understanding of how they work, Thankyou
  16. This was exactly what I was wanting. Can you explain how you were able to do a separate roof over the RV storage and complete the roof lines on the house - Thankyou
  17. I have a plan here with an attached RV storage adjacent to the house. It shares a wall with the house. I would like hip walls only on this particular plan. Each time my roof is auto built I have a house/RV wall length where the roof is not actually connected to the house itself - it looks correct over the RV storage area but is wide open along the house side. -??? The RV storage is 12 ft. tall (no ceiling) and the house itself has 9 ft. ceilings. I'm not sure if I've even drawn it accurately as it probably needs to be on a bearing wall. So do they share the wall between them or do I need some sort of additional support/wall? Rambler House.plan
  18. i would like the triangle Gable front on the deck matching on the right side as well. How do I accomplish this? Also I'm seeing a weird slant on the ceiling plane underneath right side of deck, what is causing that??
