  1. I think I know the answer but thought I'd ask anyway. I use CA X1. I'm designing a deck, and would like to know if CA has deck "skirting"? Essentially, instead of say adding a lattice as a skirt around a deck, does CA offer any option to cover the piers/footings? Thnx in advance. Roz
  2. Greg, you are correct. Thanks for the input.
  3. Thanks Joey. This worked perfectly. Roz
  4. Thanks for the reply Greg. How did you "raise" the deck? I notice the deck floor surface is flush with the top of the pool...which is exactly what I want. Thanks again Roz
  5. Hi Folks. I use CA X1. I am designing a deck plan that includes a round above ground pool (21' diameter). Does anyone have a similar design or plan? I'd like to know if I would have to manually draw the deck framing (piers, beams, footings) around the pool or can CA do this for me? The pool will sit/rest on the ground so there's no weight bearing on the deck, however the deck will be flush with the pool giving an "in ground" appearance. Any pics would also be helpful. Thx always, Roz
  6. Hello, Folks. I use CA X1. I'm designing a simple deck, and would like to know how to auto generate footings. My plan has beams that were auto generated, but I was under the impression that CA would also generate footings (either round or square). Any tips, suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Thanks Roz
  7. Hi Folks. I'm wondering if there's anything I'm doing wrong. CA X1 will not provide a Roof material list for my 2nd floor (sheathing, shingles, etc). I have my Floor 2 Room Materials Defaults set as Floor 1 (which correctly generate a materials list). All other materials lists for Floor 2 generate correctly. Only Roof materials won't generate for Floor 2. My plan is attached. I previously asked this question, but forgot to include my plan. Any pointers, suggestions to look at? As Always thanks folks. I appreciate you. Roz TOAKS_FORHELP.plan
  8. Thanks for your reply Kbird1. I have attached my plan.
  9. Hi Folks. Happy Saturday. Was wondering if there's anything I'm doing wrong. Any pointers, suggestions to look at? Unfortunately my plan exceeds the 25MB limit. As Always thanks folks. I appreciate you. Roz TOAKS_FORHELP.plan

  13. Good Evening Folks. I'm a CA X1 user semi-new to CA and have relied on this forum for solutions to roadblocks in the past...Thanks again. I'm hoping someone provide *step by step* instructions for creating a arched/barrel roof like in the attached pic (circled in yellow)? I'm at a my wits end trying to accomplish this. Any, and all assistance, tips, HELP is sincerely appreciated. Thanks you. Roz
