thanks for sharing!

Agree totally! in terms of per item cost it is not as cheep as it assumed .. Suppose, the main argument is still cost per core - its still lot cheaper for GPUs. Additional bonus regarding GPUs i see improved expandability comparing to multi CPU "supercomputers" where you need dedicated plattform, expensive ECC RAM modules etc. So regarding to possible CA dev it is more interesting (imho) to have CPU raytrace method with plugin enabling cloud (or farm) based rendering. You just pay when you need final pics in greater quality. In my projects I make a lot of preliminary renders just to talk with customers and only whe everything is adjusted I need something sexy with all lights, surfaces, details in resolution 720p or HD. So the question on hold: is there now a way to make my rendering by clouds/farms? I know that thre's lots of it for Autodesk 3ds max, blender, softimage etc.

Thanks Doug for yuor reply .. I countinue seeking for more ways improving rendering time .. What can you say about rendering farms? can you recommend one please? and is it way suitable for CA? (in understand that many of it work with Autidesk products and vray renderers but what abt us?)

yes, this is the answer I need. Thank you.

Dear colleagues I am about upgrading my rendering station for architecture and interior design tasks. I use 3ds max 2013 and (as i know) it uses CUDA Nvidia cores both in vray and rayrayce rendering techniques. And what about CAx6? does it use CUDA cores or all I can rely on are phisical cpu's cores? It's very important for me 'cause it defines what strategy to be choosen: building multi cpu servers or making super GPU claster with Nvidia Tesla K**** series your opinion please?

Corner Closet With Different Widths From Left And Right Sides
mealexmail replied to mealexmail's topic in General Q & A
Yes, i tried this way, thank you. But may be is there way to do that using proper type of cabinet. Its important from specification and bill of materials point of view. And what is possibly even more important for correct elevation views. So the ball is still in game: is it possible? -
Hi guys! I'm stucking with nothing again, yep =) The problem: how could I do corner cabinet with different widht from left and right side of it? For example, I need to do 500mm the left and 600 the right (see the pic attached) many thanks!@)

Thank you all very much for helping me to solve the bug! Just to end up and summarize the issue: it's solved! After reinstalling the package and encountering the same thing (crashing while printing) I used this advise: And it helped! I reinstaleld all my printers and set it up with all defaults again .. and it helped. Thank you again =)

Thank you all guys for the comments .. for the proper ones - specially thx ) Sorry for not being here - been working by the client's premises So, things are: 1. I have reinstalled all my printer drivers (including solid pdf driver) - no help 2. the thing is rather about system error - I can not reach "print dialog" by any way (and both with blank document and containing filled layout as well) 3. reinstalling is a pain ('cause I have up-to-date libraries, defaults, custom objects and materials) .. so I would rather use print screen than reinstalling CA =) 4. Thanks for letting me know that, Andy )) .. Take care of yourself and try to eat some vegan-sandwitches - you'll see the difference ))

Hi colleagues! Posting this just you to know that CA x6 crashes when I try to print - it happens any time whenever I try to print from layout or from view - does no any difference. It just crashes with no any error message - just standard windows "thinking" and "application doesnt respond etc..". It happens even if I try to use "print image" .. even if my file is totally blank. It seems the issue is not about fonts, lines, defaults and geometry .. Win7x64 core*i7 24Gb RAM PS any help appreciated .. of course!
