  1. Thank you, I will export/import the items I need. Julie
  2. Hello. I recently upgraded from X13 to X14. The Kohler catalog updated from X13 to X14 and I noticed that all of their shower doors seem to be missing in the X14 catalog. Kohler still sells these items so I'm curious why they are no longer available. Perhaps I should go back to the Kohler x13 catalog. Thoughts?
  3. Thanks the formula formatting worked, however Chopsaw is correct that I am unable to add a total in the standard schedule. But the data can be exported to excel without reformatting which is nice. Thanks for all the comments, appreciate it.
  4. Realized I didn't follow up an post a picture of our gingerbread house last year from Chief plans... here it is. Solar panels on the garage
  5. Thanks Joe and Jason for your replies. I thought I was missing an easy solution within Chief but seems like there isn't one. I did end up manipulating the data in Excel to get a volume formula to work. Small project so there weren't that many records (cabinets). Would be nice if Chief had this option. Thanks much.
  6. X13 user. I would like to calculate cabinet volume in cubic feet to be able to show a client current versus proposed storage in a kitchen. Using the Materials List, I am unable to create a custom formula because the cabinet depth, height and width is all in one text field. I am hoping there is a way to add a formula in a Custom Object Field for use in a schedule but haven't had luck with this yet, it just produces text (I have tried this through Preferences as well as on an individual cabinet). I also exported the schedule to excel, but the depth, width and height fields have the dimensions as text with " (e.g. 24 ") which does not work in an excel formula. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.
  7. I am sorry to see this hasn't been fixed. I usually don't have a problem with using the custom countertop feature on an island, but in this case I am using it on a peninsula and it's generating a 4" backsplash which I can't get rid of. It's not driven by the cabinet, it's a problem with the custom countertop feature. Frustrating but will do another CAD material instead.
  8. Here is the gingerbread house we made last weekend using Chief elevations. Thanks for the suggestions on the roof planes everyone. We are actually building this lovely lake home in northern Wisconsin right now! There will be solar panels on the garage...
  9. End of day... I realized you said X10. However, I can't save an X12 file as an X10. May just do the roof planes manually.
  10. Thanks! I still have X11 and will give it a go. Appreciate it. Will post a pic if we get it done. Julie
  11. Has anyone done plans for a gingerbread house? I have printed the exterior wall patterns from the elevations but the roof planes don't seem to work, perhaps because of the pitch. Any ideas appreciated.
