  1. It's not yelling as I draft in caps
  2. Are you an user? Not many of us. RAB made a video that included some stacked mouldings but it's still a bit you know fudgy trying to make it work
  3. This is very frustrating as was fine before when chief auto updated the name to the file when saving
  4. Thanks everyone. I need to look more into stacked mouldings I think. They don't seem to be that intuitive to me but I'm stupid
  5. It's all good, Mark. I worked it out. Thanks so much. Great work.
  6. Hi Mark3D, would you be able to convert this so I can just use it down one side of the building? I haven't actually worked with stacked mouldings so I don't know how to adapt it.
  7. Thanks so much. It's close, but the radius just needs to be so much tighter and then flat on the top.
  8. Hi all, can anyone create a bullnose veranda roof that looks like the attached? For now I have ended up doing it in a 3D solid with a moulded polyline, but it's making the software very laggy.
  9. Thanks Mark. ill open it up and have a look
  10. Any chance of a quick explanation of how I can use this script This ? Method 2: Using the Text Macro Management dialog Select the object you want to write a script for in your plan or layout. Go to CAD > Text > Text Macro Management. In the Text Macro Management console, select Object Properties to view the available variables (NVPs) for that object. Choose the NVP variables you need for your script. Specify the context of your script, whether it should run on the owner object, a referenced object, or both. Use the dialog to write or edit your macro script, making sure to correctly reference the NVPs and specify the script's context.
  11. previous to x17 export picture used to save into my downloads with an automatic name i.e untitled 123 (if i didn't name it) then the next auto name would be untitled 124. x17 now forces a new name to save too every time or it overwrites the old name. can this be changed to auto create like x16? 12. is it possible to drop wall cabinet door face lower than carcass to create a finger pull ?
  13. kbird1 . not locked when i first start or locked when trying

  16. working in x15. i must have some messed up setting. update checked on a fresh install of x16 and also not working....weird
  17. Tried restarting with no luck. i think i imported a toolbar last time then added to it but not sure. definitely not 400 custom objects
  18. I cannot remember how I managed to make this work. When attempting to place a library object, it does not group on the same bar or add to an existing one. The only way it seems to function is by creating multiple separate Screen Recording 2025-04-18 093652.mp4 bars. I am certain I am overlooking something simple here but cannot recall what to do. Please assist.
  19. I am also in Australia and have used chief since V10 yes along time and still love it. Chief has really improved as of late and I am hooked again. I have created my own a & l window library as that's who I use as a builder and standardised all the kitchen tools to create icons to drag and drop iconic with everything to Australia standards i.e blum hardware, fingerpulls ect ect which all takes alot of time but once done they are yours for life. Lots of fun
  20. MarcMc. thanks for the info. ill post a super quick video to help others or remind myself. there was a typo in the macro which should read %height-countertop_thickness-toekick_height% total height 900mm - 40mm countertop - 150mm kicker = 710mm (works a treat). Never really played with macros before but very interesting. Screen Recording 2024-10-30 204916.mp4
  21. wow thanks i will give it a whirl and thanks for posting a file also
  22. Hi Chiefs Does anyone know if it is possible to get a cabinet schedule to produce the actual carcass height i.e without toe kick or countertop as this is the measurement used when ordering cabinets on plastic feet. I see you have two height option in the schedule. one for box height which included toe kick and carcass and one full height which included toe kick, carcass and countertop. I realize you could probably draw without a toe kick then use a polyline solid to produce the toe kick to force the size to work but would be great just work from within chief???
