just had to take some of my continuing education for Mass Construction Supervisor License... they discussed the I-joist problem Weyerhauser and Boise-Cascade ( and I imagine all the other suppliers ) have a flame proof coating that meets the code.. Weyerhauser calls it "Flak-Jacket" -
