  1. So that gets back to part of the original question as to why the beam is dropped a few inches from the fascia.
  2. Yup layer was locked. Odd that there is no warning to tell you that are trying to select a locked item.
  3. Am sure this has been addressed but a search didn't turn up much. Am trying to design some exposed roof beam ends that will be cosmetic. I can select the beam tool and have changed default layer to roof trim and placed them. CA does a pretty good job getting close to the actual roof but they are all dropped somewhat. Whats worse I cannot edit any of them. Cannot select in any view. Any advice on how others have done this? regards,
  4. Michael and Dennis, Busy day here but I will get back into this implement your suggestion and report back. thank you.
  5. Hi Dennis, Thanks in advance for your help. Zipped plan is attached. Thanks for checking it out. Interesting that the backup is larger than the plan file. And a zipped plan file is quite small but obviously lacking all the external library items.HightowerBackup.zip
  6. Thanks, Dennis, What is the best way to post a plan file?
  7. Newbie here. I am using an invisible deck railing to create a covered porch. When I connect the railing to the exterior walls the siding material changes and I cannot select a different siding. Changing the railing to visible has no effect. If I connect the railing to a different exterior wall then that new wall material changes. Is this a bug or am I missing something and not creating my porch correctly? regards,
